Crimson Dawn Redbones

Multi-champion Nitro came to us from Rob and Kat Childers at Tree Rizin' Redbones in Ohio. He was a pup from the second breeding of two truly outstanding Redbone show dogs, Only In America (Dutch) and Tree Rizin' Triple Crown (Trippy). The two Dutch/Trippy litters produced a majority of male pups, most of which have finished various champion titles and have been very successful as competition show, field, and/or water dogs as well as reliable pleasure-hunting hounds. Nitro has the deep mahogany coat color most Redbone people prize. He is an extremely powerful dog, with good size, muscle, and very heavy bone. Nitro's other strengths are his huge, blocky, masculine head; dark eye; tight feet; and outstanding front and topline. He is also a potent producer (DNA-VIP) with DNA analysis of 60% fixed traits. His pups usually have his trademark dark coat and eye, as well as other excellent features.

Unshown until his arrival at Crimson Dawn, Nitro finished his AKC Champion title with three- and five-point majors and multiple Best of Breed wins. In UKC, he has four Group One Placements and two Reserve Best in Shows. In IABCA, he has four Group One Placements, a Reserve Best in Show, and a Best in Show.

 

When in the woods, Nitro has a deep bawl mouth on track, and a bawl/chop on tree. He is never aggressive toward any other dogs and will happily share a food or water bowl.

 

As a stud dog, Nitro has produced outstanding quality. His pups typically inherit his deep dark coat and extremely dark eye color, as well as his outstanding front assembly and tight feet. Nitro's broad, masculine head is one of his strengths and has earned him many compliments among show judges and Redbone owners, breeders, and exhibitors. Several of his pups, especially males, have heads that bear a strong resemblance to him (see photos of Ben and Cash).
