Rita is our strawberry blond girl from our Fire Litter. Coming from a litter of dark red pups, she deviates from the others by falling into the medium-red category. She was the last pup born, and we were surprised that Syd still had one more inside her. With her lighter color, we have a family joke that God ran out of dark coat-color toner for the final pup. As an adult, her coat has darkened to a gorgeous, rich red, with an amazing glow in the sunshine.

Rita has her mother's excellent head with long houndy ears. We love her expression. Her extremely dark eyes contrast strongly with her coat color. Rita was blessed to inherit many of her dam's fine features, as well as her sire's heavy bone and substance.

 

Rita likes to show and easily finished her UKC Conformation Champion title (CCH) by the time she was 10 months old.
